Font Converter
Font Convert can be used for the following purposes.
• Convert the text between 3rd party fonts and Baraha fonts
• Convert the text between Baraha fonts and Unicode text.
Controls:
Conversion Type: The following 3rd party fonts are supported.
Baraha Kan New – Kannada font used in older versions of Barah
Baraha Devanagari – Devanagari font used in older versions of Baraha
Shree-Kan-0850 – ShreeLipi Kannada font
KN-TTUma – CDAC Kannada font
KNW-TTUma – Kannada font used in kannadaprabha.com
AkrutiKndPadmini – Akruti Kannada font
Shree-Dev-0709 – ShreeLipi Devanagari font
Kruti Dev 010 – Kruti Dev Devanagari font
Shusha – Shusha Devanagari font
Right Arrow:
Clicking this button will convert the text from left window and shows in the right window.
Left Arrow:
Clicking this button will convert the text from right window and shows in the left window.
Paste Button:
Clicking Paste button will paste the text from the clipboard into the respective window.
Copy Button:
Clicking Copy button will copy the contents of the respective window to the clipboard.
Unicode:
If this box is checked, the text in the right window will be converted to Unicode encoding.
Examples:
Example 1: Converting from Baraha Kan New font to BRH Kannada font.
Step 1. Paste the Baraha Kan New font text in the Left window.
Step 2. Select Baraha Kan New <==> BRH Kannada in the conversion type dropdown box.
Step 3. Click the Right Arrow button.
The converted text appears in the Right window.
Example 2: Converting from BRH xxx fonts (BRH Kannada, BRH Devanagari, …) to Unicode text.
Step 1. Paste the BRH xxx font text in the Right window.
Step 2. Check the Unicode check box.
